Golf Gurus To Host Highland Seminar ...

Two of the golfing world's leading gurus are joining European Tour player and coach Gillian Stewart in the presentation of a unique seminar. The Newton Hotel, Nairn will be the host venue for this 2-1/2 hour special event on Wednesday 21st April at 7pm.

Dr Karl Morris and Jamie Edwards work at the highest level  in golf with Tour players of the calibre of Darren Clarke, their focus being to help players manage themselves better on the golf course. Like most other sports the very best in the world have a set of tangible mental skills and tools that allow them to perform under all conditions in the heat of competition. Karl, Jamie and Gillian will be presenting a seminar that will help golfers of all standards 'Train their Golf Brain'

Jamie Edwards captained the England basketball team - a huge feat for a 5'6'' point guard. Karl Morris was one of Jamie's first golf coaches. Together they put their experience of sports psychology from basketball and golf into practice with weekly mental sessions. Combined with physical lessons they set out to see how much progress could be made with a new golfer. After 12 months Jamie was playing to single figures!! Jamie is an extremely dynamic speaker
and motivator, captivating his audience with his many tales about his career.

Karl Morris is a qualified sports psychologist, having originally been a golf professional both playing and teaching. His own experiences as a player and teacher led him to the belief that there is a growing need for all round coaching rather than just the physical element. Karl has recently been assisting Darren Clarke with his mental game. Their work together led
to the Irishman leading the putting statistics en route to the biggest tournament win of his career to date, the NEC Invitational title.
